Refund Policy
Effective September 19, 2026
The Key Rule
You may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, provided the provisioning status of your resource is still pending. Once the provisioning status moves to accepted, the amount is not refundable.
01Refund Window
All refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the original transaction date. Requests received after 14 days will not be eligible for a refund, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
02Eligibility
A refund may be granted when:
- Your request is within the 14-day refund window and the provisioning status is still pending — the resource has not yet been deployed or activated.
- You were charged in error (duplicate payment, incorrect amount).
A refund is not available when:
- The provisioning status has moved to accepted — the resource is live and operational.
- The 14-day refund window has passed.
- The request falls outside the scope of this policy.
03Cancellations
You can cancel a subscription at any time with effect from the end of your current billing period. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that.
You can cancel your subscription through the Paddle Buyer Portal, accessible via the link in your subscription confirmation email.
04How to Request a Refund
Email hello@river.li with the subject line “Refund Request” and include:
- Your account email address.
- The transaction or order ID.
- The date of purchase.
- The reason for the refund request.
05Processing Timeline
We aim to review all refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle (our Merchant of Record) and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
06Tax Refunds
Businesses which have been charged sales tax (including VAT, GST and similar consumption taxes) on their transaction may, if registered for that tax in the country of purchase, be entitled to a refund of the relevant tax amount if permitted by applicable laws in that country.
You must contact Paddle within 60 days of the relevant transaction date to be eligible for a sales tax refund. Any refund will be subject to you providing Paddle with a valid sales tax code or (where applicable, including in the US) tax exempt certificate for your country. Requests received after 60 days from the transaction date may be declined, unless otherwise required by law.
07Exceptions
In cases of billing errors or technical failures on our end that prevented your resource from functioning as described, we may issue refunds at our discretion regardless of provisioning status or the refund window. These are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Statutory withdrawal rights required by applicable law in your jurisdiction are not affected by this policy.
